Telehealth/Tele education Partnership
OCHO created the CORE program (Coordinator of Outreach and Remote Education) for the OCHO
academy. Dr Patrocinio Sarmiento, a local Honduran doctor, will be the leader for this project. He brings professional expertise, experience with OCHO volunteer services and a strong commitment to serve patients in the Santa Barbara region. He is responsible for infrastructure needs and costs to launch a telehealth and tele-education program to serve in Atima and St Vicente. In addition, he will coordinate training and identify gaps in health care and knowledge.

Dr. Sarmiento will streamline the process of identification, implementation and evaluation of patient
needs in the local community and partner with OCHO service providers in the USA to meet these needs.
